Major Frank Clark served 37 years in the British Army and saw action from Normandy to North Germany. Korea, Malayan Jungle and Northern Ireland. During the Cold War he returned many times to Germany and NATO. As a young man he was a Grenadier Guardsman and fought with the Guards Armoured Division. He was commissioned into the Intelligence Corps and served in Cyprus, Hong Kong and Germany. He holds a civil service interpreter diploma in German.
He has always written. In many of his stations he in which he served he was either journalist or editor of the military news magazine as a supernumerary duty. He has written three true story books to raise funds for charity:
Born to the Grave by Heroes. A story of one soldiers struggle in the Napoleonic War.
Through Hell to Immortality. A story of a VC winner life in the Crimean war.’
The Song of the Little Brown Bird. A story of the Boxer rebellion.
Frank is a prolific published article writer. As a member of the Crimean War Research society he has undertaken to write an account of each of the units serving in the Crimean War, of which 40 of the 60 have been completed.
